We sold ours

I want to thank everyone here for all their valuable advice. We sold our 2000 Class C motor home. Suprisingly we got a very good price. Of course the gas prices played a part, but the biggest factor was my children's schedules. My son plays baseball, football, and basketball while my daughter dances and rides horses. It was very hard for me to part with my RV. As a family we had such a good time camping with our children. Hopefully we can buy another in the future. Again thanks to all. We still have our tent.

selling rv and eternabond

Do you think anyone would be suspicious of buying an RV with eternabond on the roof? I put eternabond on some of the seals on my roof that I thought may be likely to have leaks as a preventative.

Is there any problem with cleaning the carpet in your motorhome with a carpet cleaner?

Decals

What can you do about decals that are fading and peeling? These decals are on the side of a 30ft class c on fiberglass.

RE: Bad start to RVing

I hope it all works out. It is horrible when you are so excited about getting your new rv only to find out that you now have to jump through hoops.

slideout question

We have a 2000 GulfStream 30 ft class c. We have had it for 3 years. Only a couple times I noticed that if curb a corner or take one too tight the living slide will go out. I guess go out isn't the correct work. The very top of it kind of bounces out a few inches. Is this normal?

Water Damage

About a year ago we had water getting in to our Rv through some poor caulking on the roof. Anyway it left some water stains on our interior ceiling in the bedroom. The ceiling is a carpet type ceiling. Can anyone advise on how to get rid of the stain, short of putting up a new ceiling covering?

motion sickness

Does anyone get motion sick when riding in their RV? Both my wife and I get some motion sickness when we are in the living area of the RV.

Trouble with Dometic

I am leaving on an rv trip tomorrow and went to turn my fridge on. The problem is while in gas mode it is not working. Within 45 seconds of turning it on the check light button comes on. It seems to be fine on electric, but i really don't want to run the generator the whole trip. I just had the propane refilled; anyone have any ideas about what the problem might be? Thanks

RE: New wired backup camera for my class C

How hard was the install? Keep in mind you are talking to someone who had trouble putting a a single coat hook hanger.

Electric Step

The electric step on my class c is not working properly. When I push the button for the step to slide out I have to grab and an assist; even then it will not come all the way out. I also have to help it back in. Any ideas about what the problem may be? Thanks

Dewinterizing

I am leaving on 3/20 for Florida. Right now we have 12 inches of snow but the warm up is supposed to start in two days. I really want to dewinterize to make sure everything is working alright. If I dewinterize and it goes below freezing again, should it be ok if i set up a couple of heaters inside the motorhome should that prevent the pipes from freezing? Thanks

Roof and snow

I have a 30ft class C. We are due to get around 12-15 inches of snow tonight. Do I need to be worried about the weight of the snow on the roof? Thanks

Sarasota here we come

Heading down to Sarasota on March 20th. Can hardly wait. My Class C is sitting in my driveway just waiting to be dewinterized but the temps won't stay up. We are staying at Sun N Fun; anybody else going to be down there?

RE: winterizing

Ok I was able to get the screen off finally; it was actually very easy. I pressed the button but the liquid that came out didn't look pink to me. Any ideas what I need to do?

winterizing

I finally got my rv winterized except for one item. I was told I am supposed to take the little screen off where the city water is hooked up and push something until pink comes out. How do I get that screen off?

two questions one electrical and one about winterzing

I was trying to finish winterizing my 30 class c today. When I try to hook up the winterizing kit to the pump I don;t have enough clearance from my fresh water tank to fit both the three way valve and the male female adapter. If i try and screw it on it hits the fresh water tank. When i realized that i decided to put a heater in the motorhome. I hooked up the shore power to the usual outlet in my garage but have no power in the motor home. Any ideas about either of my problems would be greatly appreciated

anode rod

I am trying to winterize my class c motor home. I cannot get the anode rod out of the hot water heater; it is too tight. Any ideas? When I released the pressure valve a lot of water came out of underneath where my holding tanks are. Do this mean that the water heater is drained? thanks
